Herdsmen were forbidden to go to the river bed
The full surface of Kakrapar Dam is 160 feet. While at present the dam is overflowing from 9 feet above the level of 169 feet. So the water income in the dam is increasing every hour. Farmers were relieved when water started flowing into the dam. The system was also alerted when the dam overflowed. 21 villages of Mandvi taluk affected by Ukai Dam have been alerted. Herdsmen have been prohibited from going to the river bed.
