Nowshera Son Skiser (from Malik Zahid Farooq Awan) District Officer Rescue Engineer Hafiz Abdul Rasheed presided over a meeting of rescue officers at Punjab Emergency Service Office Khushab in which the last monthly emergency report was reviewed. 6304 total calls were received, of which 1778 were emergency calls, in which the Punjab Emergency Service Department rescued 1761 affected people while maintaining its response time. District Officer Engineer Hafiz Abdul Rasheed, giving details, said that 236 road traffic accidents in the last month. 1334 Medical Emergencies, 09 Fire Incidents, 26 Crime Incidents and 173 Other Emergencies were dealt with including work related injuries, falls from height etc. and other emergencies. While 1521 severely affected people were transferred to hospitals by providing timely medical assistance, Engineer Hafiz Abdul Rasheed related to Patient Referral Service said that in the last month 361 affected people were transferred to hospitals for better treatment. In view of the increasing number of accidents, Engineer Hafiz Abdul Rasheed said in his message that people should avoid speeding while driving, use seat belts while driving and helmet while riding motorcycles. Ensure use of reflective tape on tractor trolleys and ensure adherence to traffic rules.
