Interdepartmental National Basketball Championship, Navy and Air Force advanced to semi-finals
In the inter-departmental national basketball championship, Pakistan Air Force and POF qualified for the semi-final round by defeating the rival teams. On the second day of the ongoing championship organized by the Pakistan Basketball Federation, Pakistan Air Force reached the semi-final round by defeating the Police by 85 points against 29 due to their excellent play. Umeer John from Air Force was the top scorer with 21 points, Mehtab Akram with 16 points while Ali Raza from Police scored 20 points. In the second match, POF defeated Navy by 68 points to 56 points after a tough and exciting contest to qualify for the semi-finals. Farrukh Sher 20, Mohammad Farooq scored 14 points of POF. On the second day of the event, Yasir Ghafoor, Khurram Khan, Ahmed Mudassar, MM Alam, Saadat Jahangir, Haji Umar, Adeel Raza Chaudhry Mohammad Nadeem supervised the matches.
