Interesting facts related to the action scenes of Dhoom have come to light

It has been 20 years since the release of Dhoom, the first film in the Dhoom franchise based on the story of a thief and a cop in Bollywood. The dangerous stunts depicted in the film were filmed for real without any VFX, which also revealed interesting facts.

The film Dhoom was released in 2004 which changed the concept of action films in Hindi cinema. The film increased bike sales overnight and created a craze for John Abraham Kabir’s character’s long hair style. However, some interesting facts during the filming of the movie are mentioned here.

Rami Sen, who played Sweety J. Dixit in the film, said, “It was the first film where a heist was done with bicycles. Before that, it was mostly done in Hollywood. It’s Yish. It was also the first action film of Raj Films”.

Esha Deol, who played the role of Sheena Rai, the only female member of John Abraham’s team, wore a short dress for the first time on screen. For this he took permission from his mother Hema Malini.

Isha had said that I felt the need to ask my mother’s permission, but when I asked her, she asked, “I’m really asking this? Aren’t you going on vacation with friends and wearing short dresses to the beach?” do you wear it?”

The most dangerous stunt in the film, which took the longest to shoot, was throwing a bicycle between the coaches of a moving train. Alan Amin, who designed the action for “Dhoom” and “Dhoom 2”, said “The jump was done in reality, there were no visual effects (VFX).”

Amin confirmed that the plan was originally to use cars for the stunts, but Aditya Chopra thought it would not show the faces of the actors, so bicycles were chosen instead.

Raimi, who was afraid of dogs in real life, was terrified to hold a puppy in a scene of the film.

She said: “The atmosphere on the set was very funny, but I found the scene of catching the bull very difficult. But now I have made friends with the dogs.”
