A video of Eknath Shinde addressing a group of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs at a hotel in Guwahati has been released from his office in Mumbai. As shown in the video, the rebel legislators unanimously allowed Eknath Shinde to decide as the leader of their group.

In the video, Eknath Shinde is heard saying, “Our worries and happiness are the same. We are united and we will win. There is a national team, a ‘superpower’ … you know they have defeated Pakistan. They said we had made a historic decision and promised all kinds of help. Eknath Shinde is currently in Guwahati with 36 Shiv Sena rebel MLAs and nine non-party MLAs.

A statement from Shinde’s office said the decision to empower Eknath to make the decision was taken unanimously. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal has approved the appointment of Ajay Chowdhury as Shiv Sena leader in place of Shind.

On the other hand, journalists in Mumbai asked Ajit Pawar whether the opposition BJP had a role in the ongoing political crisis in the state. “So far, no top BJP leader has been seen in front,” Ajit said. State NCP chief Jayant Patil said the MVA was suffering from a majority. He said, “The rebels did not leave Shiv Sena. They will come back. ”
