Israel has agreed to a temporary 3-day pause in the ceasefire for the anti-polio campaign in Gaza.

The World Health Organization says the anti-polio campaign in central Gaza will begin on Sunday, September 1. After central Gaza, the anti-polio campaign will continue in southern and northern Gaza.

Gaza war to have a humanitarian break during the Polio Vaccination Campaign Israel has agreed to a break from 6 hours to 3 hours for the anti-polio campaign.

On the other hand, Hamas welcomed the ceasefire for humanitarian reasons.

A leader of the organization, Basim Naim, says that Hamas welcomes the UN’s call for a humanitarian ceasefire to implement the campaign to vaccinate children against polio.

He says that Hamas is ready to cooperate with international organizations in this regard.

It should be noted that a few days ago in Gaza, a 10-month-old child was diagnosed with the polio virus, which is the first case of polio in Gaza after 25 years.

According to the United Nations, more than 640,000 children in Gaza need polio vaccination.
