ITV Britain’s Got Talent fans divided by David Walliams’ ‘annoying’ segment
Britain’s Got Talent fans were divided by David Walliams’ theatrical entry during the latest round of auditions. Fans have grown tired of the opening scenes of the ITV talent show in recent weeks.
As always, tonight (14 May) the show opens with judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden on stage at the London Palladium. However, this week as Simon, Alesha and Amanda sat down, they noticed the golden buzzer was missing.
As they looked for it, David appeared suspended above the stage dressed as a golden buzzer. BGT viewers took to Twitter to express their disappointment with [email protected] asking: “I don’t get it? Is it meant to be funny? It’s just annoying….”

Stuart @StuartYoung001 agreed, tweeting: “Do they heat up the audience like this. It’s not working on me.” Meanwhile, Mel @Mel_Navan questioned how real Simon’s surprise was, commenting: “As if Simon didn’t know.”
Meanwhile, BGT viewers @Mm15039259101 were not equally impressed. He joked: “Oh look this is hilarious, no one ever said #BGT.”
However, not all viewers agreed, although some praised the star. Sophie @SophieLGranttt commented: “Gotta love David Walliams.” And Mickey @officialmikeyg1 declared: “@davidwalliams is hilarious and the best judge ever.”
