New Delhi : The opposition has been criticizing the central government over the ongoing CBI probe against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. This is why Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has ridiculed BJP. Tharoor took to Twitter to share a list of leaders who were once accused of corruption and are now in the BJP.
Interestingly, some of the people in the list shared by Tharoor are Union ministers and some are state chief ministers. While announcing the list on Twitter, Shashi Tharoor wrote, ‘This is currently under discussion, so I am sharing what I have. There is always surprise expressed at the declaration Na Khaonga Na Khane Dunga. I think this announcement must have been about beef,” tweeted Tharoor.
Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister Narayan Rane is also named in the list shared by Shashi Tharoor. Apart from this, the names of former Chief Minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa and Leader of Opposition in Bengal Shubhendu Adhikari are included. Not only this, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Lok Sabha MP Bhavna Gawli, Shiv Sena leader Yashwant Jadhav, MLA Yamini Jadhav and MLA Pratap Sarnaik are also included.
This is going around, so sharing as received. Always wondered about the meaning of Na khaoonga na khane dinga. I guess he was only talking about beef! pic.twitter.com/oggXdXX8Ac

Before joining the BJP, Narayan Rane was accused of running a money laundering racket worth Rs 300 crore. In 2016, the ED had charged Rane with money laundering of Rs 300 crore in connivance with the Avaghana group. But in 2017, he left the Congress and formed his own party. After this in 2019, Rane merged his party with BJP and became part of the saffron party.
In the list shared by Tharoor, opposition leader Shubhendu Adhikari in Bengal was also said to be involved in the Narad scam. He was then in the Trinamool Congress, but joined the BJP before the elections. It was the BJP that accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of being involved in the water supply scam. Former Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawli from Maharashtra is now part of the Eknath Shinde group that is running the government with the BJP. He was also summoned by ED 5 times. BS Yeddyurappa was also accused of accepting bribes in housing projects.
