Karachi: Security arrangements are underway for the procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain in Shahr Quaid.
Shops and markets in MA Jinnah Road, Sadar, Empress Market, Tower Sadar and Kharadar were sealed for the safety of the procession.
All the streets of the procession routes have been cordoned off with containers, the traditional routes of the procession are followed by the police and the rangers.
Additional IG Karachi said that foolproof security arrangements have been made for the procession, additional CCTV cameras have also been installed to monitor the procession.
He also said that more than 5,000 policemen and personnel will be on duty for the security of the procession, aerial surveillance of the procession will also be done, Rangers have also been deployed for the security of the procession.
