Kazakhstan a man risked his life to climb to the 8th floor to save a child risking his life

Noor Sultan. A video is going viral on social media, in which a man is seen rescuing a trapped child on the 8th floor of a building. The video is being reported from Kazakhstan. As can be seen in the video, the man risked his life to save the child when he saw a small child swinging on the window of the building. The man who rescued the child has been identified as 37-year-old Sabit Shontkabev. After the video went viral, everyone on social media is praising Sabit.

A social media user present at the scene shared this video. The caption with the video states that Sabit was walking with a friend when he saw a crowd near the building. He then saw a child hanging on the 8th floor window of a building, he quickly reached the seventh floor and rescued the child. The video shows him stepping out of a window to rescue a three-year-old girl without any hesitation or helmet.

At around 10 a.m., the country’s Emergency Situations Department wrote on social media that it had received information that a child was hanging from the window of a building on Noor-Sultan’s Dala Street. Seven units and two units of equipment were then sent to the spot. Upon arrival, it was learned that a child hanging on the eighth floor had been rescued by a man.

Sabit’s friend Sagi was also present during the rescue. He was holding Sabit’s leg from inside the apartment. According to local media, Sabit Shontkabao has said that he does not consider himself a hero. As the video of his bravery went viral, First Deputy Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Major General Kulshimbayev Ibragim Batir honored Shontkabayev and his friend.
