Gilgit: Heavy rain and snowfall at higher altitudes continued since late night in Chilas and surrounding areas. The Karakoram Highway has been closed for traffic due to a landslide near Kadnia in Upper Kohistan.

Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir, also received heavy rains, the flow of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers continued to rise.

Water rose above flood level, prompting officials to advise people to stay away from rivers and creeks.
