Bhopal: There are mosques in all the cities and their religious duties are also performed by the imams and muezzins, but the society has not yet shown seriousness about the free accommodation of the imams and muezzins. Not only seriousness has been shown regarding the free release of imams and muezzins from Faiz Mosque in capital Bhopal, but a movement has been started to provide free houses for the residence of imams and muezzins in the mosque campus. A ceremony was also organized in Faiz Mosque in which the city Qazi, Mufti along with eminent religious scholars and intellectuals of the city described the participation and movement as the need of the hour.

Bhopal City Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi in a special conversation with News18 Urdu said that it is an excellent practice and for this we congratulate the officials of the mosque committee. We request them to arrange free accommodation for imams and muezzins on their own in the style of Faiz Mosque, wherever there is space in your mosques, so that our imams and muezzins can perform their best services. Once again congratulations to everyone and those who have started this good work may Allah accept their service.

There Syed Shakir Hussain, the main official of Masjid Fainz, says that a few months ago, when the imam was delayed in coming to the mosque for prayer due to bad weather, the worshipers looked for many houses in the area to accommodate him, but these houses were so expensive that their expenses could not be borne by the committee. In such a situation, it was decided by the mosque committee and the Muslims to build a house on the empty land in the mosque campus with mutual cooperation and provide it to the imam for free so that the imam can carry out his religious services with peace and from here he can study the sciences along with religion. Promotion work can also be done. Alhamdulillah, everyone’s efforts paid off and a precedent was set in Bhopal that in this style, at least two or three rooms house should be given to imams and muezzins in every mosque for free accommodation.

There, in-charge secretary of Bhopal Mosques Committee, Yasser Arafat, in a special conversation with News 18 Urdu, said that Imam has a great position in the Muslim society. If the imam is worried about his residence, it affects the worshipers and their worship as well. Masha Allah, Faiz Masjid has paved a way not only for the city of Bhopal but for the whole of Madhya Pradesh. Look, Dr. Mehtab Alam Sahib, you are the witness of this and you had shown the news five or six years ago on the concern of the mosques committee that free arrangements should be made for the best accommodation of imams and muezzins in every mosque. We are making a proposal that in the future Jolog will also do construction work for the residence of imams and muezzins in the mosques of their area. The mosques committee will cooperate with them by 20%.
