Mahindra brings Scorpio-N based Dhakad pickup, will get safety like ADAS; Equipped with amazing features and technology
New Delhi. On the occasion of Independence Day held in South Africa, Mahindra has unveiled the concept of Scorpio-N based pickup. This pick-up has been prepared by Mahindra for several international markets. The pick-up has been designed at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS). The headlights, bonnet, fenders and front doors of the pickup are similar to the Scorpio-N. It gets an aggressively styled pop-out grille. There is also an LED light bar at the front. ‘Mahindra’ is written on the tailgate. The bumper houses two tow hooks at the rear, with a ladder in the middle for easy access to the load bed. The tail-lights get a pixel-like design. The company has recently released its teaser, which reveals all this.

Mahindra Global Pick-up Concept Features
Mahindra says that the Global pick-up will be equipped with features and technology. It will be equipped with some features like Level-2 ADAS, semi-automatic parking and 5G-based connectivity features. This pickup will have a sunroof. Apart from this, there will also be trailer sway mitigation on offer. There will be an ESP feature.

Mahindra Global Pik Up Concept Engine and Gearbox
Mahindra says that the new pickup will be powered by the Gen-II all-aluminum mHawk diesel engine, mated to either a 6-speed manual or an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic. The Mahindra Global pick up will come with 4WD and shift-on-the-fly capability. There will be four drive modes on offer.

The car will come with diesel and petrol variants
Targeted at the core markets of South Africa, Australia and India, the production variant will come with a diesel engine. However, in other ASEAN countries where petrol pick-ups are also in demand, Global Pick Up will offer petrol units, which will be launched by 2025.
