Police have arrested a former Maoist in Kataram mandal of Bhupalapalli district. According to Pataram DSP Rammohan Reddy.. Polam Rajaiah of Nandi Medaram village of Dharmaram mandal of Peddapalli district is working in Mission Bhagiratha. Rajaiah joined the Pedpadelli Area Force at the age of 13. Dummati Arjun alias Naganna worked in a force commanded by his wife Nirmala. Rajaiah got acquainted with Venkatesh. Later, Rajaiah worked as a plan to commander under Jagan, the top leader of the combined Warangal District and Karimnagar District.
In 2002, Rajaiah joined the mainstream of life. The government gave agricultural land to Rajaiah. Rajaiah used to do agriculture. But agriculture did not suit him. Financial difficulties were encountered. Not knowing what to do with this, Rajaiah decided to join the Maoist party again. With this intention, he contacted the Maoist representative Rajireddy on phone a few months ago.

Rajaiah is encouraging people with Maoist ideology to join the party. As per Rajireddy’s instructions, Rajaiah is going to the border with explosives and Maoist literature. Police patrolling at Bopparam Cross in Kataram Mandal Centre. Rajaiah, who was riding a two-wheeler, was detained by the police on suspicion. After inquiry and inspection, the police seized four gelatin sticks detonators, a phone and a two-wheeler, arrested them and sent them to remand.
