Mumbai: Marathi actress Ketki Chitale has been arrested by Thane police on charges of sharing an insulting Facebook post against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar. 3 FIRs have been registered against Ketki in this case. NCP activists were angry over actress Ketki Chitale’s Facebook post and demanded strict action.

Although this social media post written in Marathi does not have the name of Sharad Pawar but mentions the nicknames’ Pawar ‘and ’80 years old’. Wrote in the post that hell is waiting for you and you hate Brahmins. These are the kind of comments that were allegedly written to insult Sharad Pawar.

The case has been registered against Ketki on several charges. Some NCP leaders are accusing the BJP and the RSS of making derogatory remarks against Pawar on social media.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old pharmacy student in Maharashtra’s Nashik district has been arrested on Twitter for making catastrophic remarks against NCP president Sharad Pawar. He said Nikhil Bhamre, a resident of Satana in Nashik, has been arrested by Dindori police.

Nikhil said in his tweet that the time has come for Baramati Gandhi to become Nathuram Godse of Baramati. However, he did not name any leader or political party in the tweet.

Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad also tweeted to Mumbai and Thane police commissioners and the state’s director general of police to take stern action against Bhamre.

A few days ago, MP Navneet Rana was arrested

A case was registered against Navneet Rana, an independent MP from Amravati, and her MLA husband Ravi Rana, who had announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa by going to Matoshri a few days back. The Bandra court had remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days. A case of treason was registered against him.
