Ministry of Education | NIRF 2023: IIT Madras tops for fifth consecutive year, see full list here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT) Madras has retained the top spot in the ‘National Institute Ranking Framework’ 2023 for the fifth consecutive year while the Indian Institute of Science, (IISc) Bengaluru has been ranked the best university. The Ministry of Education gave this information.

IISc, Bangalore has been ranked second in the ‘overall’ category. It is followed by IIT Delhi. IIT Madras has topped the engineering institutes for the eighth year in a row. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay came second and third respectively in this category. Among the colleges, Delhi University’s Miranda House and Hindu College are at the first and second places, while Presidency College, Chennai is at the third place. IISc Bangalore has been ranked as the best institute in the field of research while IIT Kanpur has been ranked as the best institute in the field of innovation.

Among the management institutes, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is at the top followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode at the second and third positions respectively. According to the ‘National Institute Ranking Framework’ 2023, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad has been ranked first in the field of pharmacy, while Jamia Hamdard and BITS Pilani are at the second and third positions respectively. National Law School of India University, Bangalore is on top in the field of law. It is followed by National Law University, Delhi and NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. (agency)
