A proud event has taken place in the world of Indian ports on 12th February 2023. The deepest ever container ship has been moored at the Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) in Mundra. Adani Port has grown into a flagship of India’s shipping business by berthing MSC Washington. Not only this, this achievement has further cemented Mundra as a state-of-the-art and most developed Indian port.
The deepest container ship MSC Washington was very cautious in anchoring. The port’s marine team, who were in constant touch with the ship’s captain, did a great job. The 1.9 MT vessel was micro-planned before anchoring easily. Also, the team was kept on alert to avoid any kind of mistake in the operation. The entire team successfully completed the operation under the leadership of Captain Sachin Srivastava.
MSC Washington berthed at Mundra Port is the deepest container ship ever in Indian ports, Captain says. The marine team carried out the necessary clearance to bring the vessel to a safe berth keeping in mind all the critical circumstances and weather conditions.
Adani Port Mundra can easily and safely accommodate such heavy vessels. This wadhu is an important landmark for Adani Port. MSC Washington LNG is a dual-fuel 14K TE ultra large container vessel, equipped with an LNG fuel gas supply system by C-LNG Solutions.
