Nagar Kirtan was organized on the occasion of Sri Guru Ravidas Gurpurab in Sacramento, Kirtan of Divine Gurbani by different groups.
Sacramento, California, March 19 (Hussan Ladoa Banga/Punjab Mail) – Like every year, Sri Guru Ravidas Temple Rio Linda, Sacramento organized Nagar Kirtan on the occasion of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji’s 646th Gurpurab. The Sangat were enthralled by singing the hymns of Guru Sahban. Despite the heavy rain, the congregation definitely attended, but the gathering of the congregation was less than last year. The route of the Nagar Kirtan under the guidance of the five lovers was also kept as before. The float with Sri Guru Granth Sahib was decorated with flowers despite the rain. Manohar kirtan was performed by different ragis in the morning and evening diwans, including Bhai Sarabjit Singh Rangeela, Bhai Onkar Singh Une Wale, Bhai Rajinder Singh Raja, Bhai Amritpal Singh, Bhai Jagjit Singh Yogi and Hazuri Ragis of Guru Ghar. Various donors and servants were honored with plaques and syrups by the organizers in the Nagar Kirtan diwans. On this occasion, the devotees bought and sold from different shops and different types of langar were also installed by the servicemen. On this occasion, various donors also donated for the construction of the new building of the Gurdwara Sahib.
