NF Railway | Landslides due to heavy rains, NF Railways cancels 17 trains – News18 assam

Several north-eastern rail services were disrupted due to heavy rains. Terrible landslides in different parts of Badarpur area from Lamding. Landslides have caused extensive damage in up to 26 places in the hilly region. The land beneath the railway line is completely eroded. As a result, rail services in those places have been completely shut down.

Tragically, the railroad was stranded in the affected area. Ditkchera and New Hufflong were surrounded by a sad train. The closed railways are Guwahati-Silchar Passenger and Silchar-Guwahati Passenger respectively.

The NFR initiative has already launched a rescue operation for the stranded passengers. The rescue operation is being carried out in collaboration with the Air Force. A special train has been arranged for the passengers bound for New Hufflong. In addition, arrangements have been made for four years.

The North-East Frontier Railway authorities have so far canceled more than 16 trains. And more trains are likely to be canceled. This was stated by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the North East Frontier Railway.
