In Tirupur area, where most of the northern state workers live, there is an increase in the number of miscreants sharing wrong and unnecessary information about the people of northern state on social networking sites.
Records such as a northerner clashing with workers from Tamil Nadu; Events that happened elsewhere are being portrayed and spread as if they happened now in Tirupur. As a result, undesirable events occur.
In this regard, a consultation meeting was held in which Collector Vineeth, SP, Sashangsai, Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Gupta participated.

Based on this, a ‘Migrant Workers Grievance Committee’ has been set up under the leadership of the District Revenue Officer. In this group, workers from other states can complain about their problems and find solutions. Alternatively, the Disaster Management Unit operating in the Collector’s office can be contacted on the toll-free number 1077.
Tiruppur Municipal Police Office can be contacted on 0421 – 2203313, 2244500, 94981 – 01300 and District Police Office on 0421-297 0017, 94981 01320. It has also been informed that labor representatives who can speak Hindi will work there for the convenience of North State workers.
