Old Pension Scheme | Resentment persists among workers for old pension, hunger strike continues on fourth day as no solution is found
Gadchiroli, Government officials and employees have taken up the weapon of strike against the government on the main demand of implementing the old pension scheme and other demands. Even on the fourth day of the strike which started from March 14, the strike of the employees was going on for the fourth day due to no solution being found at the government level.
Especially on Thursday thousands of employees took out a huge march in Gadchiroli district. Due to the strike of the employees on Friday also, the services of all the departments in the district have been completely affected. Due to which school students including the citizens of Khamijaya district are also suffering. Government employees are seen becoming more aggressive regarding the demand for old pension.
For the last four days, more than 40 thousand officers and employees have participated in this strike in the district including the state. Government work has been completely affected due to the employees being on strike for the last four days at the district headquarters as well as at the tehsil level. Due to which common citizens are facing huge problems. But on the other hand the decision to intensify the strike has been taken by the agitators.

An order has been given by the administration to the department heads to send notices to the employees who participated in the strike. According to this order, participating in the indefinite strike will be considered unbecoming. Indiscipline action will be taken against the concerned employee. According to the policy of the central government, the employees involved in the strike will be implemented this method, no work, no salary. At the same time, the service of those who participate in the strike can also be terminated. Information has been received that such a thing has also been said in the order.
The strike continues even after the order for action by MESMA
For the last four days, the government employees in the district including the state have started an indefinite strike. During this, the government tried to discuss with the representatives of the employees. But in the absence of a concrete decision, the employees did not call off the strike. On the other hand, the government tried to create an atmosphere of fear among the agitating employees by ordering action against the agitating employees under the MESMA Act. But even in such a situation, the eyes of the citizens of the state as well as the district are fixed on how many more days the said movement will continue by sticking to the workers’ movement.
Academic loss of students
Teachers and non-teaching staff have also participated in the statewide indefinite strike. In the present situation, despite the beginning of the school examination period, the work of education has been affected due to the teachers going on indefinite strike for the last four days. The result of which is the academic loss of the students. Due to which there is strong resentment among the parents and students. At the same time, such a demand is also being made that the government should find a solution immediately.
