Opposition to the boycott! ‘My parliament, my glory’, the Prime Minister started campaigning

Prasenjit Dasgupta, New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building on Sunday. Before that, 20 opposition political parties including Congress, Trinamool, Left Front decided to boycott the opening ceremony of the new parliament building, accusing the Modi government of keeping the rush of the event in their own hands while ignoring the President himself. Prime Minister’s new move to divert attention from this atmosphere of distrust nationwide. On Friday, he launched the ‘My Parliament My Pride’ campaign. On this day, a video of the newly built Parliament was posted on Twitter and the Prime Minister appealed to the countrymen, ‘The new parliament building is the pride of the country. This video captures the nobility and glory of Parliament Request to all please post this video of the new parliament building, express in your own words your expression about the new parliament building.’ In this case, he reminded, don’t forget to mention ‘hashtag’ ‘My Parliament, My Pride’ i.e. ‘My Parliament, My Pride’. Responding to the Prime Minister’s call, many people have already started sharing this video of the new parliament building on social media. Many Union Ministers and MPs are also in this list.

On the one hand, when the Prime Minister himself started the ‘My Parliament My Pride’ campaign by sharing a video of the shiny new Parliament building, on the other hand, the opposition did not stop to express their anger against the central move. In this context, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP and Chief Whip Sukhendu Shekhar Roy shared the picture of the inauguration of Panchet Dam in the 60s on social media and said that the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the dam with a tribal women worker. Currently, the President of the country is also a tribal community. However, excluding him, the Prime Minister himself is about to inaugurate the newly constructed Parliament building, which is a matter of extreme irony in the history of the country.

Meanwhile, the inauguration of the new parliament building has caused chaos in the parliament premises. Parliament sources claim that the last minute preparations for Sunday’s event are now in full swing. Yajna and Puja will be held from 7.30 am to 8.30 am on that day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman along with several ministers will be present. Between 8.30 am and 9 am, the prana of the building will be established as per Vedic rituals inside the Lok Sabha. A total of 20 saints from Tamil Nadu will be present for this. A prayer meeting is organized between 9 am and 9.30 am. Many great learned scholars and saints including Shankaracharya will be present in it. In the second leg, the program will start from 12 noon with the national anthem. A short film will be screened. Then Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Singh Vice President and President will read the message. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birlao will speak. Commemorative coins and stamps featuring the new Parliament building will be released thereafter. At the very end there is the address of PM Modi. The program will end at 2.30 pm. Ambassadors and dignitaries of various countries have been invited to the new parliament building on this occasion. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharg’s speech has been scheduled for this event. But Congress has boycotted the event but fixed time has been kept for the opposition.
