The friendship between Pakistan and China has been highlighted at a space exhibition in Beijing.
Beijing: A flag commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, which was taken into space, is on display at an exhibition in China.
The ‘Dreaming of the Universe and Asking the Sky: 30 Years of China’s Manned Spaceflight Achievement Exhibition’ was recently held in the West Hall of the National Museum of China, featuring an impressive display of objects highlighting China’s success in space exploration. There is a collection.
Of particular interest is the commemorative flag on display, which commemorates the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.
The flag was carried into space by the Shenzhou-12 spacecraft on June 17, 2021, and orbited the Earth for three months before returning to Earth. This is reminiscent of China’s diplomatic relations with Pakistan.
“For Pakistani visitors, it was really meaningful to see the flag presented here, not only representing the special relationship between Pakistan and China, but also reminding people of the long-standing cooperation between the two countries in the aerospace industry.
It is a fitting tribute to the significant contribution China has made to Pakistan’s space program over the years,” Mehzaib Abbasi, a Pakistani vlogger who was shooting a vlog at the exhibition, told China Economic Net.
Since the 1990s, China and Pakistan have had a strong relationship in space cooperation, beginning with Chinese assistance in the launch of Pakistan’s first satellite, Badr-1.
In 2019, Pakistan and China signed several space exploration agreements at the second BRI Forum, one of which paved the way for Pakistan’s first astronaut into space. These agreements also established a framework for joint ventures in space and the development of China-Pakistan Space Committees.-APP
