Pickup going to Haridwar met with an accident in Panipat, 4 people died, 20 injured…
Panipat. A major accident took place in the early hours of Saturday near village Rish Pur on Sonauli Road in Panipat. A truck hit 25 people who were going to take bath in Haridwar on the occasion of Jeth’s full moon from Kamach Kheda in Jind. Four people including two women were killed and around 20 people were injured in the accident.
The local people informed the police about the accident. As soon as the information was received, top police officials reached the spot and took the injured to the general hospital, where four including two women died. The injured are being treated. According to relatives, the pickup had got punctured and the tire was being changed when the truck hit.
Roshan, a resident of Kamach Kheda village of Jind, told that around 11 o’clock on Friday night, about 25 people were going to Haridwar to bathe in the Ganges in a pickup from their village. When he reached near Rishpur village on Sanauli Road around 2:30 in the night, his pickup got punctured. He was changing the tire by putting the car on the side, meanwhile a speeding truck hit him from behind. Kanta (45) wife Ramphal, Munni (52) wife Satyavan, Mohit (15) son Bhim Singh, Ashwani (22) son Sajjan Singh died in the accident.

Women were singing songs while sitting in the pickup. There was an atmosphere of laughter and happiness. Meanwhile, due to the truck collision, there was a hue and cry. In the accident, someone’s leg was broken and someone’s spine was broken. The injured were taken out of the pickup in a blood-soaked condition.
ASP reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported
As soon as the information about the accident was received, SP Mayank Mishra, Sanauli police station in-charge Mahabir and other policemen reached the spot and took the injured to the general hospital and started their treatment.

In the accident, Bala (48) wife Phool Kumar Phool Kumar, Nanhi (38) wife Bhim, Ravi (17) son Phool Kumar, Sajjan (52) son Ramkumar, Rakesh (32) son Dhoop Singh, Pradeep (23) son Suresh, Jai Kumar, Ajay (23) son Vijay Kumar, Dhoop Singh (70) son Prahlad Singh, Asha (30) wife Rakesh, Sharda (45) wife Sajjan Singh, Roop Singh were seriously injured. Of these, Bala, Ravi, Sajjan Dhoop Singh, Sharda have been referred to Rohtak PGI.
