Playing Dhol Tasha in the sea on Maharashtra Day, Trivikram Dhol Tasha team set a unique world record in Dubai Pipa News

Swapnil Ghag, New Delhi, May 01 : Maharashtra Day is being celebrated all over the state with great enthusiasm, even across Satasamudra. The Trivikram Dhol Tasha Team, the only traditional Dhol Tasha team in the Gulf countries, has celebrated Maharashtra Deen in a different way. Maharashtra Day was celebrated on a luxury yacht in the Persian sea in front of the world’s only 7-star hotel Burj Al Arab with drumming in the water.

Trivikram Dhol Tasha Team Dubai, is the first and only traditional Dhol Tasha Team in the Gulf. This troupe, which plays about 25 to 30 instruments every year, has always presented the best display of Maharashtra’s art and culture to the world at the international level through its performances.

On the occasion of this year’s Maharashtra Day, Sagar Patil, the founder of this team, planned a different concept. To celebrate Maharashtra Day, he decided to play drums in the water on a luxury yacht, in the Persian Gulf, in front of the world’s only 7-star hotel ‘Burj Al Arab’. Sagar Patil while planning this bold idea says, We have been doing the work of preserving and promoting the art and culture of Maharashtra abroad for the last five years, but this year we designed this concept with the intention of doing something different. No one has ever played like this before, and that’s why we made this record today.

20 players of the team participated for this instrument and this included women. The yacht took the musicians from Dubai Marina and stopped in the water in front of Burj Al Arab Hotel playing in front of the Dubai Eye Giant Wheel on the way.

Having achieved such a record, the Trivikram Dhol Tasha team gave the auspicious Maharashtra Day to all the Maharashtrians not only in Dubai but all over the world.

Sagar Patil, the founder of Trivikram Dhol Tasha Squad, was awarded “Marathi Language Honor” by Maharashtra Government in December 2021.
