PM Shahbaz Sharif created relief fund to help the flood affected people
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has set up a relief fund to help the flood-affected people.
In a statement, the Prime Minister made a fervent appeal to the people, especially the philanthropists, to generously help those affected by the floods.
Referring to the devastation caused by the floods due to the unprecedented rains, he said that Balochistan has experienced extraordinary devastation while Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have also suffered heavy losses.
The Prime Minister said that despite the difficult economic situation, the government has immediately released five billion rupees for the flood victims.
He said that there is a need to help the flood affected brothers, sisters and children in the spirit of ‘Ansar-e-Madina’.
Cash assistance for flood victims can be deposited in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund 2022 account number ‘G-12164’.
The federal government has already declared a state of emergency in the flood-affected areas, while the provincial governments have also been asked to declare the affected areas as disaster-hit so that relief activities can be intensified.
