Police release details of the suspect in the Mississauga gas station shooting

The Peel Regional Police have released more information about the suspect who allegedly shot and killed 21-year-old Pawanpreet Kaur on Saturday.

Police said the apparently targeted incident occurred at a Petro-Canada on Creditview Road and Britannia Road West around 10:40 p.m. in Mississauga.

A gas station employee, later identified as Pawanpreet Kaur, was shot with “multiple shots” and died at the scene despite receiving medical attention.

According to the most recent police update, the suspect was wearing white gloves, a dark three-quarter hooded winter coat, dark winter boots, dark pants and a dark winter hat.

The suspect is believed to have smoked a cigarette that night. They only pulled the hood over their heads just before shooting Kaur, police said.

The suspect had been near the scene of the murder three hours prior to the incident, investigators concluded from witness interviews and video research.

Following the shooting, the suspect was seen escaping on foot west on Creditview Road, then west on Britannia Road, then west to Camgreen Circle.

Investigators are urging witnesses or anyone with information, surveillance or dash cam footage to contact them at 905-453-2121 extension 3205. Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 -TIPS (8477), by visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
