ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to give hard time to the government on the issue of weak economic policies while expressing concerns over the bad state of the economy.

According to PP sources, an important PP meeting was held under the chairmanship of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in which a briefing was given on the economic situation of the country.

During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed concern over the high electricity bills and said that the government has failed miserably in fulfilling its promises to the people.

Sources said that in the meeting, concern was also expressed about the cut of the development budget and it was said that it should be seen where the subsidy was used from the cut of the development budget.

President Bilawal Bhutto said that on the one hand the country faced economic difficulties, while on the other hand expensive advertisements of the Prime Minister Punjab were placed in America, which IT revolution was brought to Punjab which advertisements were placed in New York.

PP sources say that during the meeting, it was decided to continue the series of party meetings related to the economic situation and it is said that future decisions will be taken after the consultation of the party.

The sources also said that the members of the People’s Party also said that the country’s industry has been stagnant, as the country is developing.
