PSX remains in an uptrend of 167 points
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index continued to rally 167.44 points on Tuesday, showing a marginal positive change of 0.39 per cent, to close at 42928.63 as against 42761.19 points on the previous day.
A total of 195,973,380 shares were traded during the day as against 132,942,539 shares on the previous day, while the shares were valued at Rs 6.789 billion as against Rs 4.579 billion on the previous trading day.
As many as 338 companies traded their shares on the bourses, of which 171 registered profit and 138 sustained losses, while the share price of 29 companies remained unchanged.
Among the three top-trading companies were Worldcall Telecom with 18,585,534 shares at Rs 1.39 per share, TPL Properties with 18,514,911 shares at Rs 20.15 per share and Haskol Petrol with 15,396,000 shares at Rs 7.98 per share.
The maximum gain of Rs 181.38 per share was seen in Allavasya Textile, which closed at Rs 2599.88, while the runner-up was Mahmood Textile, which gained Rs 60.60 per share to close at Rs 868.60.
Neelam Fiber declined the most by Rs 89.99 to close at Rs 1140.01 per share, followed by Thal Industries Corporation with a loss of Rs 12.99 to close at Rs 260.01. – Application
