Rahul dravid statement on Rohit kohli rahul T20, why Kohli-Rohit not getting place in T20 team? Now coach Rahul Dravid spoke clearly – rahul dravid team india coach statement on rohit sharma virat kohli kl rahul t20 team

Mumbai: After the ODI series against the New Zealand team, Team India has to play the T20I series with the Kiwi team. But there will be changes in the team for this T20 series. Once again senior Indian players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli will not be seen playing in this series. Hardik Pandya has been given the leadership of the team. Ever since India’s semi-final exit from the T20 World Cup last year, questions have been raised about the T20 careers of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. All three have not played a single match in cricket’s shortest format since the T20 World Cup.

Now the head coach of Team India Rahul Dravid has made a big statement about the inclusion of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the T20 team. Dravid said Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been given a break under workload management. With big tournaments like the Test series against Australia and the ODI World Cup this year, Dravid feels that the workload on the players also plays an important role. According to BCCI’s new policy, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) will monitor the workload of players during this year’s IPL.

Ahead of the third ODI against New Zealand, Dravid said, ‘Workload management has become an important part of the game today. We continue to review these. Under this workload management, players (Rohit, Virat, KL Rahul) have been given a break for the T20 series. Injuries and workload management are two different things. Considering the amount of cricket we are playing, we have to find a balance between these two things by seeing which thing we want to prioritize in the future. Also, we have to ensure that our senior players are available for the big tournaments.’

Senior players and IPL

Dravid said that players who are part of the ODI World Cup will play in the IPL as it will help them evaluate their T20 skills. Dravid said, ‘The NCA and our medical team will be in constant touch with the franchise regarding the IPL and if there is any problem or injury to a player, we will look into it. I think the BCCI has the right to drop a player if there is an injury or any other concern. But if he is fit then we will release him for IPL as it is also an important tournament.

Rahul Dravid believes the rest is necessary ahead of the two-week camp ahead of the four-match Test series against Australia starting next month. Dravid said, ‘You have to play some white-ball matches at certain times. Playing four Border-Gavaskar Trophy matches is crucial for possible qualification to the World Test Championship.
