Rakesh Tikait has said on his ‘Chachajaan’ statement that he has taken the name of Asaduddin Owaisi in a respectful manner and there should be no objection to it.
The rhetoric regarding the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections has already started. The controversy over Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ‘Abba Jaan’ statement was not yet over with Bharatiya Kisan Union spokesperson and farmer leader Rakesh Tikait calling AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi the ‘uncle’ of the BJP. He said that BJP will not face any problem in the UP elections because his uncle has come to UP. Now Rakesh Tikait has once again reacted to his statement.
He has clarified that he has taken the name Owaisi in a respectful manner and there should be no objection to it. Speaking at an event of Aaj Tak, he said, ‘It is the people of the village who say that both (BJP and AIMIM) are A and B team. The people of the village tell these things, you get the survey done.
He further said, ‘Someone has to be called with some name. And then if they come to UP, then BJP people will give name to them or not. Taking someone’s name out of respect is a bit of a misconception. Why can’t the uncle of BJP call him? What’s wrong with that?
Rakesh Tikait had called Asaduddin Owaisi the uncle of BJP during a rally in Hapur. He had alleged that even if Asaduddin Owaisi abuses BJP, no case would have been registered against him. Both are the same team.
Asaduddin Owaisi’s reaction to this statement has also come. He has said that Tikait should stop this kind of politics. He says that his party will contest the elections with the aim of getting Muslims to participate in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, their aim is not to cut the Muslim vote.
“Muslims are not bonded or prisoners of any political party. SP President Akhilesh Yadav is accusing me of cutting votes, but why doesn’t he tell that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 75 percent of Muslims voted for the Samajwadi Party, but despite this, how did his wife and both brothers lose the election?
