raksha bandhan 2022, rakshabandhan is expensive for Pune people; Cab drivers taking extra fare from passengers in Pune on Raksha Bandhan 2022

m. Ta. Representative, Pune: Due to the sudden increase in demand on the evening of Rakshabandhan, the cab companies transporting passengers through the app were seen looting the passengers. Citizens were charged 250 rupees for the journey which takes 150 to 200 rupees. Due to high demand, fares were not readily accepted unless convenient. Therefore, on the day of Raksha Bandhan, the passengers had to suffer a lot of anguish.

Along with PMP in Pune, passengers are served by licensed rickshaws; Also, private cab driver companies also provide services to passengers through the app. Many citizens take advantage of this cab service as the service is provided at the doorstep. However, if the demand for the cars of these cab companies is high, the citizens are always charged higher fares. The news about this was earlier given by ‘Maharashtra Times’. Its realization came to the citizens again on the day of Rakshabandhan on Thursday. The lack of control over these cab companies has increased their arbitrariness. On the day of Rakshabandhan, many people go to their sister or brother-in-law. Considering that the number of passengers increases, the PMP also increased the number of buses. It got good response.

Citizens who went out on the day of Raksha Bandhan were seen to be badly affected by the arbitrariness of the cab driver companies. Due to the sudden increase in demand in the evening, it was seen that the cab companies were directly charging Rs 100 to 150 more than other times. In the morning, 190 rupees fare was shown on the route, while going in the evening, the fare was 350 rupees; Cab drivers were reluctant to accept the fare due to lack of convenient fares. So citizens had to wait for hours for cabs. RTO has no control over looting by these cab companies. Therefore, the question is being asked whether the continuous looting of citizens will continue.

‘A subject outside of us’

100 for rickshaws of passenger transport companies through the app after the demand increased on the day of Rakshabandhan; It was seen on Thursday evening that the car is being charged Rs. 150 to Rs. 200 more. These cab companies are repeatedly robbing passengers in times of need; But no one pays attention to this. The RTO is throwing up its hands saying, ‘This matter is beyond us.’ So, the state government is ignoring this. Passengers are suffering in this.

I wanted to go to Fursungi from Kharadi in the evening. For that, cab companies were showing a fare of Rs 360 for a rickshaw. Coming in the morning, I had come on this route for 190 rupees; Also, rent was not accepted for a long time. So we had to wait for an hour.
