Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan will present the financial statement of the Tamil Nadu government for the year 2023-24 in the Legislative Assembly tomorrow. What most people expect from this budget is a scheme to provide Rs 1000 per month as an entitlement to female heads of households.

This project, which is one of DMK’s election promises, was well received by the public. More than two years after the DMK came to power, no announcement has been made. Political leaders were criticizing this.

Meanwhile, speaking at the Erode by-election campaign, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin said, “The date to start giving Rs. 1000 per month to heads of families will be announced in the coming budget submission.” Reports have surfaced that the date for this scheme will be officially announced in the budget to be presented by Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan tomorrow. Following this, the scheme will be implemented.
