Russia is preparing to ease the visa system with India
Moscow, March 9 (Punjab Mail)-Russia is preparing an agreement with six countries including India to ease the visa system. Russian news agency Tass gave this information with reference to Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov. Apart from India, we are also working on inter-governmental agreements with Angola, Vietnam, Indonesia, Syria and the Philippines, aimed at simplifying the visa system with them, Ivanov said.
Earlier, Ivanov said that Russia is working on visa-free travel agreements with 11 countries, including Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Zambia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov came to India last week to attend the meeting of foreign ministers of G-20 countries. In the meeting, Lavrov praised India for chairing the G-20. He described India as very responsible and worthy of being a superpower on key issues on the global agenda. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
