Sale of fancy and mutilated Ganesh idols: Orissa High Court refuses to interfere

However, the Orissa High Court refused to intervene and directed the police and administration to take an appropriate decision in this regard.

Police on Sunday reprimanded some idol makers in the Kumbhar Shahi area of ​​Millennium City for mutilating the deity’s idol. They have been asked to destroy the deformed idols. Objecting to this step of the police, an artisan has filed a petition in the High Court.

In this regard, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra said, ‘The craftsmen have been asked to take care that their idols do not hurt the religious sentiments of others and do not create law and order situation.

Not only in Cuttack, deformed idols of Ganesh ji are being made at different places of the state as well.
