News Daily Digital Desk: Video Assistant Referee or VAR for short is now in Indian football. This technology is being used in the Santosh Trophy. From that point of view, Indian football has set a precedent. Var technology was introduced in Indian football.
Punjab vs Meghalaya in the first semi-final. This time the semifinals and finals of the Santosh Trophy are being held outside the country. The semi-finals of the traditional tournament are being played at the King Fahd International Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

Technology support will be available from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. All India Football Federation President Kalyan Chaubey said, “Today will be the first time that weight technology will be used in a domestic Indian football tournament. This is a moment that will show whether we can use this technology in our league later on.”
Kalyan Choubey also said, “Santosh Trophy is not a small tournament at all. Many talents are spread in our country. Talents can use this tournament as a platform to showcase their game.”
Punjab, Meghalaya, Services and Karnataka qualified for the last four. Punjab and Meghalaya will meet in the first semi-final. Karnataka in front of Services in the second semi-final.
