Shahbaz Sharif defamation case; Imran Khan’s appeal against termination of right of defense rejected
The Lahore Sessions Court had terminated the right of defense of Imran Khan in the damages case
The Lahore High Court rejected the appeal against termination of the right of defense of Imran Khan in Shehbaz Sharif’s defamation claim and upheld the decision of the trial court.
Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal of Lahore High Court gave a verdict on Imran Khan’s appeal, in which Imran Khan challenged the trial court’s decision to terminate the right to defence.

The High Court upheld the decision of the subordinate court to terminate Imran Khan’s right to defence.
Shahbaz Sharif has claimed defamation against Imran Khan. The trial court had dismissed Imran Khan’s defense for not answering Shehbaz Sharif’s questions.
Imran Khan had requested in the appeal that the decision to terminate the right of defense in the claim of 10 billion rupees damages should be annulled.
