Sharad Pawar says ‘Muslims have contributed the most to the success of Bollywood’
Mumbai: ‘Muslims have contributed the most in bringing Bollywood to the top.’ Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar claimed this while speaking at a seminar organized by Vidarbha Muslim Intellectual Forum in Nagpur. In his words, ‘Art, writing or poetry – the greatest contribution has come from the minority of Muslims. Muslims have contributed the most in reaching the top of Bollywood. In this regard, the contribution of Muslims cannot be denied in any way.’ He said, ‘Though a large part of the total population of the country is Muslim, they do not get their dues properly. When I come here again, I am ready to discuss your problems.’
In addition, Sharad Pawar also commented that the representation of Muslims in the field of politics is not the same. He said, ‘Among our eight MPs, two are Muslims and one is a woman.’ Asking for the protection of Muslims, Pawar said, “We need to sit and discuss how it can be done.” At the same time, he praised the Urdu language. The NCP chief claimed that his party always believed in equal representation of minority Muslims.
