Sharad Pawar supports Kejriwal- Dinamani

Nationalist Congress President Sharad Pawar has said that he will support Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the matter of the central government bringing an emergency law regarding the officials of the Delhi government.

The conflict between the Aam Aadmi Party government and the Lt. Governor is continuing on various issues related to government administration in Delhi.

In this context, the Supreme Court has recently given the Delhi government the authority to take decisions on matters related to the police department, public peace and land.

Subsequently, the Central Government brought an Ordinance to set up a commission for the appointment and transfer of Group-A officers. With this, the authority to take the final decision on the appointment and transfer of Delhi government officials has been brought back to the Deputy Governor.

Chief Minister Kejriwal criticized the action of the central government as an act of overturning the Supreme Court’s verdict and met various opposition leaders against the Emergency Act and gathered support.

Accordingly, he met Nationalist Congress President Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Thursday. Later, both gave an interview to reporters. At that time, Kejriwal said:

If people want a non-BJP government in a state, BJP uses 3 methods to overthrow the government there.

One is to buy off MLAs from the ruling party; Second, threats by the Enforcement Directorate or the CBI; The third is to enact ordinances to disable the government elected by the people.

It is not good for the country to incapacitate the elected government through an Ordinance.

If the non-BJP parties unite, they can defeat the Ordinance in the Rajya Sabha. In this matter, the Nationalist Congress has announced that it will support the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha. For this, I thank Sarath Pawar.

This is not just a political issue. It depends on the interest of the country. Kejriwal said that every party that loves the country should come forward against the central government’s emergency law.

Sharad Pawar said, ‘The Central Government’s Ordinance is a threat to parliamentary democracy. In this matter, it is the duty of all non-BJP parties to support Arvind Kejriwal. It is time to fight together to protect parliamentary democracy’, he said.
