Shubhendu again took a jibe at Mamta, said if she had not lived in the Nandigram movement, Didi would have become a mother today
Blame on TMC for the movement of Kurmi society in the state
Nandigram : Leader of the opposition party in the state assembly Shubhendu Adhikari again took a jibe at CM Mamta Banerjee and said that Mamta didi would have become Didi Maa today if she had not lived during the land-save movement in Nandigram. While giving a statement during the memorial meeting of Shaheed Nishikant Mandal held on Thursday at Sonachuda of Nandigram Block 1 under East Midnapore district, he said that the dream of Shaheed Nishikant Mandal can be fulfilled only if a nationalist government is formed in Bengal. It is to be known that on 22 September 2022 in Nandigram, an active agitator associated with the land movement, Nishikant Mandal died of bullet injuries. All the people associated with Nandigram Bhoomi Movement including Shubendu Adhikari before Smriti Sabha also garlanded the statue of Shaheed Nishikant Mandal. Speaking at the meeting, Shubhendu said that during Nandigram agitation, police and CPI(M) men with weapons had entered Sonachuda, but after they came to Sonachuda, they all eventually backed out. Had he not lived during the Nandigram movement, Mamta didi would have become Didi Maa today. She is not even CM today. Shubhendu said that opening the door of any TMC leader’s house in Kolkata is fetching a mountain of money, and Mamata Banerjee is fighting for thieves instead of remembering those who died for the land movement in Nandigram. While talking to the media after the meeting, Shubhendu slammed the TMC government of the state for the train and road blockade agitation being carried out by the Kurmi community in Bengal for three days. He also accused the state government of futility on this issue. He said that the Lodhasuli National Highway of Jhargram is connected to all the major cities of the country. There is a blockage there for 3 days, but the state government is not doing anything about it. Many TMC goons are in jail, while many people are hiding in their homes. Speaking about NIA raids across the country including Bengal, Shubhendu said that NIA is taking action against anti-national forces which are sponsoring terrorist activities. The activities of Islamic Jihadi organizations have also come to the fore in Kerala, Bengal and Telangana. About Nishikant Mandal’s memorial meeting being organized by TMC, he said that any people can remember the martyr, but today’s TMC leaders had no trace there during the land movement.
