Student dies due to heat stroke during Sindh board exam

Karachi: An intermediate student died while appearing for board exams in Sindh’s Khairpur when the exam hall became extremely hot and stuffy due to load shedding.

According to reports, hundreds of students had arrived at the Government Degree College in Thiri locality of the city to appear for the Class 11 board exams.

The deceased Mehtab Ali was writing the paper when he fainted. He was taken to the hospital and was later declared brought dead by the doctors.

Due to imbalance of supply and demand and rising heat of the country, power cuts are happening all over the country.

Due to the hot summer, University and Board Education Minister Ismail Rahu had earlier requested the authorities to provide continuous supply of electricity during the examination period.

According to a statement by the Sindh government, the summer vacation in all educational institutions will begin from June 1 and will continue till July 31, 2023.
