Export of wheat by Central Government(Restrictions on wheat exports) The farming community is expressing displeasure over the ban imposed by the Center on. The South Gujarat Farmers’ Society has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi in this regard. The farming community has demanded that the decision be withdrawn with immediate effect. Apart from this some other demands have also been introduced. With a total of 9 demands, the farming community has raised the issue with the Prime Minister who is threatening the farmers with huge losses if the decision is not reversed.

The letter expressed fears that the government’s announcement of a ban on exports would cause huge losses to farmers. Farmers have said that such a decision is proving to be detrimental as the government is talking of doubling the income of farmers. Apart from this, in other major mangoes, farmers are demanding Rs 3000 per MSP of wheat. On the other hand, 50% subsidy on diesel and abolition of GST on farm implements have also been demanded. According to the farmers, the sons of the earth have faced many difficulties even during the Corona period which should be brought to the pre-covid level.
