Umarkot (by Syed Rehan Shabbir) A grand ceremony was held in the grounds of the University of Agriculture on the occasion of Independence Day, in which the chief guest was Vice President District Council Umarkot Mian Khalid Walhari, Pro Vice Chairman Agriculture University Campus John Muhammad Marri, social organization M. DF Executive Director Junaid Sheikh, District Health Officer Umarkot Dr. Nand Lal, Additional Deputy Director Social Welfare Murtaza Gohar, District Information Officer Umarkot Muhammad Aslam Bhatti, ADL Local Government Harish Chandra Katri, TEO Education Murtaza Shattu, Faculty of Sindh University Agriculture Zulfiqar Ali Murri, Madam Saima Bhutto, Umarkot Citizen Forum Leader Abdullah Khoso, Social Organization Sparco Program Manager Asif Ali Bajeer and Social Mobilizer Lajpat Malhi, Social Organization SPO’s Shivram Sothar, Social Organization SLTF Kanhaiya Mohanlal and others participated on this occasion Umarkot District Councilor Mian Khalid Valhari addressed the program and said that youth should read more books and be aware of history, on this occasion Pro Vice Chancellor Agricultural University Umarkot John Muhammad Marri spoke that we have to work hard to move towards development and especially in view of climate change it is important to plant trees, on this occasion the Additional Director of Social Welfare Umarkot Murtaza Gohar, D. HO Dr. Nand Lal, Executive Director of Social Organization MDF Junaid Sheikh and others also addressed, students of Sindh Agricultural University made speeches on Independence Day and also presented tableaux.
