Team announcement for Asia Cup: Indian Soorma will face Shaheen on September 2
The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka this month. The names of the players included in the team were shared. Indian Soorma will face Pakistani Shaheen on September 2.
Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team for the Asia Cup while the other players include Virat Kohli, Shibman Gul, Sheryas Iyer, Surya Kumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Ashan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (Vice Captain), Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Prasyd Krishna’s names are included. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja, Shirdal Thakur, KL Rahul, Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will also be seen in the Asia Cup.
It should be noted that the Asia Cup will start from August 30 in the city of Multan, Pakistan. The event, played under the hybrid model, will be held in two stages in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The first match of the event will be held in Multan, in which the host team Pakistan and Nepal will clash.
