Terrorist killed in intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan: ISPR – Pakistan
The media affairs branch of the army said on Saturday that a terrorist was killed during an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Mir Ali in North Waziristan district.
During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the troops and the terrorists, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
“As a result, one terrorist was killed. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorist,” the press release said.
The slain terrorists were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent civilians.
Last week, at least four terrorists were killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in Hoshab, Balochistan.
Since the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) said it had withdrawn a shaky ceasefire agreed with the government, Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist activities.
