According to the president Wholesale Grocers Mohammad Ahmed Majeed, FBR has made the withholding agent for the collection of tax on essential products, this decision of the government makes business more difficult.

He threatened to stop the importation of pulses if the import withholding tax is not removed.

Business leader Rauf Ibrahim says the government should order the vegetables itself, we will not import them.

President Fullar Mills Association Sindh Chaudhry Aamir said that the withholding tax is an injustice to the people and businesses, other sources of essential goods have been taxed and they have been expensive, everyone is ready to pay the tax, through the tax system.

Faisal Anees Majeed said that Jodia Bazaar is closed today, the withholding tax is given at the import stage, we should be discussed about the tax system on essential goods, it should not be made an agent of deemed, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should take notice. of the matter.

He said pulses will become expensive by 50 to 100 rupees due to withholding tax, Pakistan imports 1.6 lakh tonnes of pulses, mung crop has been damaged, pulses have to be imported.
