The District Magistrate inspected the preparations for the Gajole Book Fair

Gasol: Malda District Third Year Rural Book Fair is being held at Gajole. The fair will be held at Gajol High School ground from March 4 to 7. Preparations are in full swing for the book fair. Officials from the district are coming almost every day to check the preparations. On this day, District Magistrate Nitin Singhania came to the high school ground to inspect the activities of the book fair. Also present were District Library Officer Devabrata Kumar Das, BDO Durmatha Moktan, Joint BDO Subrata Shyamal, Gajol Police Station IC Chandrasekhar Ghoshal, Panchayat Samiti President Regina Parveen, Malda Zilla Parishad Fisheries and Livestock Development Officer Dinesh Tudu and others. He looked into the book fair’s entrance, exit, drinking water system, where the main stage would be. Apart from the main stage, he also proposed another stage like Chatal in Gram Bangla. From where books can be published, poets and writers chat etc. can go on. The District Magistrate expressed satisfaction after looking into the management.

The District Magistrate said that the Malda District Rural Book Fair is being held at Gajol on the initiative of the Library Department. About 25 publishing houses will participate in the fair. There will also be several other stalls. Various cultural programs will be performed on the main stage every day.
