ISLAMABAD (News Desk) The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has refused to provide necessary information related to election expenses and other financial matters to the Senate panel, saying that being an independent body, it is under the constitution competence of the Permanent Committee. In the agenda set for Tuesday’s meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, Secretary of the Commission Umar Hamid Khan mentioned the responsibilities of the Election Commission, the salaries of its members and employees, the commission during the last financial year on expenses incurred, travel expenses and other incidental expenses has been included.
