Lunar eclipse can be seen in India?
According to the space agency, lunar eclipses will not be seen in India this time. Blood moons can be seen throughout South America, the eastern part of North America, parts of Antarctica, Western Europe, West and South Africa, and only the eastern part of the Pacific Ocean.
Why is it called Blood Moon?
Since the lunar eclipse is going to take place on the day of the full moon, if the shadow of the earth falls on the moon, it will look red. As the sun’s light falls on the moon’s surface as it passes through the Earth’s atmosphere, the moon will reflect other colors and retain the red color due to its wavelength. So it will show red color. It is because of this blood color that the word ‘Blood Moon’ was born.
