The Shiziguan Floating Bridge in China is an impressive piece of engineering.
Also known as the Bridge of Dreams, this 400-meter-long bridge, based on a modern and innovative concept, allows cars weighing up to 2.8 tons to cross the surface of the Kunjiang River.
The bridge is built among forest-covered mountains in Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, central China. Shiziguan is one of China’s most fascinating and natural attractions.
However, what distinguishes it from other impressive places is this floating bridge built on the surface of the river, while driving on it, you can see the beautiful scenery directly on the water of the river.
Built with German technology to protect vehicles from overturning, the bridge has been operating since 2016 for vehicles and pedestrians.
Water-based high-density polyethylene floats on the surface of the river to strengthen the bridge.
However, during this journey, the drivers must drive at a fixed speed of 20 km/h, in which case they will only hear the soft splash of the river water under the vehicle.
